The Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso in Mexico's Riviera Maya near Cancun was awarded Trip Advisor's 2011 Traveler's Choice Award as the top all inclusive resort in the world based on reviews and is on the list of top 10 all inclusive resorts in Cancun.
The Iberostar Grand Paraiso is part of Iberostar's "Grand" collection of hotels. These are incredible 5 star luxury resorts. There are three Grand hotels, the others being the Grand Hotel Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica and the Grand Hotel Bavaro in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The Grand Hotel Paraiso is a stunning resort that looks like an exotic palatial palace. The resort is located just 20 minutes from Playa Del Carmen on a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise water. The grounds are lush and tropical as would be expected, with an expansive pool, four whirlpools and swim up bar.
The Iberostar Grand Paraiso has 300 suites and 10 villas. These suites come complete with a jetted tub, a sitting area and dining area and fully stocked minibar. If the budget allows, there are Presidential suites that provide more room and of course more luxury. Each of the 10 villas have separated rooms to host the whole family and come with a small private pool.

There are 5 restaurants to choose from at the Grand Paraiso to give you an excellent variety of cuisines to choose from. There is the Buffet Restaurant, Grill Steak House,
Venecia Italian Restaurant, Gourmet Restaurant and the Sushi Bar. While many reviews say the food is great at this hotel it is the one area that some folks have said there is room for improvement.
Like any great all inclusive resort, the Iberostar Grand Paraiso has a wide array of activities available to you. There's kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, water polo, tennis, volleyball. There is a world class spa for manicures, pedicures, massages and whirlpool baths as well as a thalassotherapy centre.
